1. Getting an opinion over guidance.
When the expert gives you his/her opinion and sides you or those who have hurt you. Yaix, the expert is now on your side throwing rocks at your ex or your parents who hurt you so much. 😳 Red light. Even worse when the expert sides your parents who harmed you with their belittling comments because you were a rebellious child.
✅An expert’s job is to lead you to open your perception and perspective to see, feel, hear and experience for yourself and overcome for yourself.
2. Expert conversation overpower.
Beware if you walk out of a counseling, coaching or therapy session where you felt the expert had a long ongoing answer for everything you say in such a way that it made you feel overwhelmed.
✅Guidance through leading you to talk, and experience the healing is the way. The expert needs to listen and guide not give lectures. 🤓
3. The Comparison Trap.
When the expert gives you personal life examples or examples of other people too much to make you understand, but leaves you feeling invalidated.
✅Your experience is unique to you. You need validation not comparison unless you express you feel isolated and the only one with your particular struggle. A tactical, kind, short and to the point example can be given to guide you to discover and feel encouraged that you are not alone.
4. Expensive long lasting services.
If the expert does not do an assesment to establish goals with reasonable time frames you are signing up for paying ongoing fees with little, super slow results and in some cases sadly no results.
✅The expert should asses, predict and estimate reasonable timeframes and tangible goals for you.
Straight up, you deserve an expert who cares, plans, evaluates, predicts reasonable time frames of success with your participation and leads you to goals with successful results.
